House Insurance – Personal Property
July 1st, 2011 | by admin |House insurance is meant to protect you from devastating losses in case something terrible happens to your home. Are you prepared? Do you have all of the insurance that you need? There is more to house insurance than just covering the house. Unless you have personal property insurance as well your insurance may not be adequate. Dwelling insurance does not cover your personal property. All that dwelling insurance covers is for the main house and the permanent fixtures in the home. All of your belongings belong in another class of insurance. That is personal property insurance.
You don’t even have to own your home to be able to take advantage of personal property insurance. Renters insurance is the same thing as personal property insurance. It is designed to cover your loss of your belongings. It could be from a fire, hurricane, flood or theft. If you want to know you will be able to afford to replace your belongings then you need to carry personal property.
If you want to make sure you company’s property is protected while they are staying with you it is important for you to carry liability insurance. If anything happens to someone else’s property your liability insurance will pay for the damages. Either the property will be repaired or replaced with this insurance. Another nice thing about liability insurance is the fact that if your guest gets injured on your property your insurance will pay their medical bills and any loss of wages. If your guest brings a lawsuit against you your court will be paid. That includes attorneys and judgment.
To be totally protected for any reason you are going to want to carry all of the insurances. That means dwelling, personal property and liability. With all of them your protection is complete. About the only thing that isn’t covered are injuries to you or your family. For that you want a totally different type of insurance that has nothing to do with house insurance. So be smart and get all of the necessary insurance that you need to be safe. After all it is better to be safe than sorry.
