The free labs release of DaVinci for Android follows in the footsteps of a long line of time-saving data gathering and sketching products in the DaVinci family, including DaVinci for iPad, DaVinci for iPhone, DaVinci for Desktop and DaVinci for Tablet PC.

Condo buyers screen You Tube videos

Anything you want to know about community associations is probably on YouTube.

This popular video-sharing Internet site is well-known for entertainment, but it has much more to show than cute puppies waiting for Santa Claus and wannabe rock stars. A large number of videos give education and advice on topics of all sorts.

We recently searched through YouTube’s millions of listings and found 9,400 videos for “condominium,” 2,460 videos for “community associations” and 608 videos for “homeowner associations.” Then we started watching.

Here’s a sampling of what we found:

Home sales rise in August as prices drop

Massachusetts single-family home and condominiums sales rose in August, according to industry tracker The Warren Group.

Last month 4,203 houses traded hands, good for a 15 percent increase over August 2010, when 3,652 homes sold. August 2010 was the slowest August for home sales in 20 years, The Warren Group said.

Sales for the year are 25,101, down 12 percent from the same period last year.

Single-family home prices dropped 3.4 percent to $305,700 last month, compared to $316,500 last year. Year to date, the median single-family home price in the state is $296,000, a 1.3 percent drop from $300,000 for the same period last year.

August condo sales rose to 1,716, a 5.8 percent increase from last August’s 1,622. F
